With her victory in the challenging 10-kilometer classic course, Johaug demonstrated strong form heading into the World Championships.

In preparation for the 10-kilometer classic event at the upcoming World Championships, Johaug was initially apprehensive. During her warm-up, she had to slow down significantly to avoid colliding with a construction vehicle still operating on the ski tracks. "Sjur Ole, please ensure no trucks are on the course when we practice," she communicated to her coach, highlighting her safety concerns.

Despite the unsettling start, once the situation was clear, Johaug took to the course with determination. She finished first in a time of 30:36, closely followed by Lotta Udnes Weng, who finished 19 seconds behind.
