Cross-country Skiing: Linn Svahn Withdraws for the Rest of the Season – Sundling Also Absent in Tallinn

Linn Svahn and Jonna Sundling will not be part of the Swedish team for the World Cup sprint event in Tallinn.

According to team doctor Rickard Noberius, Svahn is progressing but is not ready for the demands of a World Cup competition, as stated in a press release.

Following her successes at Holmenkollen, the World Cup is heading to Estonia for a freestyle sprint. However, it has now been confirmed that Linn Svahn has withdrawn for the rest of the season due to a concussion sustained shortly before the World Championships.

"Linn Svahn will not compete in Tallinn and Lahti as she is still in rehabilitation after the concussion she suffered in Trondheim. She is making progress," says national team doctor Rickard Noberius.

The national team will also be without the reigning World Champion Jonna Sundling.

"We will have to manage without Jonna Sundling who caught a cold over the weekend," says national team leader Anders Byström.

The World Cup sprint in Tallinn starts on Wednesday with the prologue at 15:30.
