Cross-Country Skiing: Jens Burman’s Words about the Nightmare: 'Fantastic'
Jens Burman’s day was ruined by a fall during the skiathlon at the World Championships with just three kilometers completed.
- "It’s just terrible!" he stated to SVT.
Upon reaching the stadium, he crashed, losing both a ski and a pole.
- "I was just lying there, and then it was over," he reflected.
Having to compete without a complete set, he expressed that initially it felt hopeless:
- "I thought it was over for me, really. There isn’t much you can do in that situation."
Ultimately, Burman finished in 51st place, 3 minutes 40 seconds behind the leaders. Despite the disappointment, he remains committed to continue training and competing in Trondheim.
- "Absolutely, I’ll keep striving for success," remarked Burman after the race.
In the race, William Poromaa placed eighth, Edvin Anger came in 14th, while Calle Halfvarsson finished 18th.
