In the 20-km mass start race in Ruka, Teresa Stadlober secured an impressive seventh place, contributing to the ÖSV team’s overall successful start to the World Cup season with five top-10 placements.

After a thrilling finish, American Jessie Diggins edged out Sweden's Jonna Sundling by just 0.3 seconds, while Norway's Heidi Weng crossed the line 2.5 seconds behind Diggins, preventing Therese Johaug from claiming a podium spot on her comeback weekend. Stadlober finished 20.5 seconds behind the winner.

"I'm really happy. This was better than in the classic style on Friday, which is quite surprising," Stadlober stated in an ORF interview, emphasizing her summer focus on improving her skating technique, which was evident during the race. She expressed satisfaction with being part of a strong start for Austrian cross-country skiing.

The achievements of Stadlober and her teammates highlight the promising start to the season for Austrian cross-country skiers as they aim for more successes in upcoming events.
