In the Engadin, the podium spots in the cross-country sprint were awarded without any German involvement. Jonna Sundling from Sweden won the women’s final decisively ahead of Kristine Stavaas Skistad from Norway. Sundling's compatriot, Maja Dahlqvist, secured third place.

On the men's side, Johannes Hösflot Klæbo further solidified his overall World Cup lead. Edvin Anger from Sweden made an impression as a strong contender, finishing just 0.2 seconds behind the winner. Federico Pellegrino came in third, 2.07 seconds off the pace.

Unfortunately, the hopes for the German team were dashed in the women's quarterfinals. The German quartet that made it to the Top 30 saw their aspirations cut short, with Pia Fink missing out on advancing by a narrow margin after finishing third in her race. Laura Gimmler, Anna-Maria Dietze, and Sofie Krehl also fell short in their heats. Sprint specialist Coletta Rydzek surprisingly failed to qualify, finishing 31st.

In the men's qualification, Jan Stölben, Elias Keck, Marius Kastner, Anian Sossau, and Toni Rollinger all had their hopes for a top result extinguished early, having to observe the further proceedings as spectators.
