Cross-Country Skier Alvar Myhlback to Compete in Lillehammer World Cup

Alvar Myhlback has been given the opportunity to compete in the World Cup this weekend in Lillehammer. Team manager Anders Byström has selected 25 athletes for the squad, including promising young talent Myhlback.

The races take place from December 6 to 8, featuring events such as the 10 km freestyle, sprint, and skiathlon. Myhlback is set to participate in the skiathlon event after equal-length races during the premier weekend, as stated by Byström in a press release.

The team mirrors the one that competed in Ruka last weekend, with some fresh faces like 18-year-old Myhlback and 20-year-old Evelina Crüsell.

"Two junior world champions from last season get their chance in Lillehammer," Byström noted, highlighting Crüsell's recent fifth-place finish at the premiere in Bruksvallarna.

Moreover, Moa Lundgren also secures a spot despite not participating in the previous Ruka event.

The team looks forward to the upcoming competition in Lillehammer, where they hope for strong performances from all selected athletes.
