Concerns for Swiss Ski Star!
Swiss cross-country star Alina Meier has suffered a serious fall ahead of the World Cup opener in Ruka, Finland. She has sustained a concussion and sustained injuries to her teeth.
Alina shared her experience on Instagram, revealing that she was involved in a "serious collision on skis". As a result, she has adopted a motto of resting with plenty of sleep, relaxation, and some light walks to recover.
With the World Cup opener scheduled for this coming weekend in Ruka, it remains uncertain whether Meier will be able to participate. Despite her injuries, she expressed some hope, stating, "It's not exactly what you wish for just before the season starts, but the good news is that I feel better every day."
Additionally, she shared images from her recovery, including a photo featuring a dental brace necessary due to her two misaligned teeth.
