Charlotte Kalla Gears Up for Mästarnas Mästare
Sweden’s legendary Olympian, Charlotte Kalla, is gearing up to compete in the highly anticipated new season of Mästarnas Mästare. Known as the country’s most decorated female athlete, Kalla expressed her excitement, stating,
“I feel very excited. This will be something special.”
Two years ago, Kalla was forced to forgo her participation due to an unfortunate injury. Now, at 37, this beloved ski icon, who holds an impressive tally of 22 medals from the Olympics and World Championships, is ready to shine on the popular reality show.
“It was very disappointing two years ago when I had to back out at the last minute due to injury. Now, I feel incredibly happy as we approach the departure date, and we will soon be on our way,” Kalla shared with SVT Sport.
A longtime fan of Mästarnas Mästare, Kalla is particularly looking forward to connecting with her fellow competitors.
“The thing I’m most looking forward to is meeting the other participants, especially the reflections on past events. It’s not often that I take the time to look back, and watching Mästarnas Mästare from home brings back a flood of emotions.”
Despite her enthusiasm, Kalla has refrained from thinking too much about the competition itself.
“As of now, I haven’t thought too much about how far I will go. It’s been so long since I last wore a race bib, so I’m unsure how I will handle the competitive spirit.”
Filming for the seventeenth season of Mästarnas Mästare is set to take place in northern Spain this fall, promising an exhilarating experience ahead for Kalla and the other participants.
