Celebration During the Ski World Championships in Granåsen: Over 40,000 in Attendance

The atmosphere at the Ski World Championships in Granåsen was electric, with over 40,000 spectators attending the event. Fans from all over gathered in the venue and along the ski trails, creating a lively celebration of winter sports.

Event director Åge Skinstad noted that there were 29,000 sold tickets along with an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 free spectators along the ski trails during the men’s 20 km skiathlon event. This fantastic turnout showcased that ski sports are very much alive and thriving.

Supporters wore flags, bells, and loud voices to cheer for their favorite skiers, showing their dedication to the sport. Among the cheering crowds was fan club member Sissel Nevermo, who expressed her unwavering support for Norwegian skier Jan Thomas Jenssen.

In an impressive display, Norwegian athletes secured the top four spots in the competition, with Johannes Høsflot Klæbo winning gold. Though Jenssen finished just shy of a medal in fourth place, fans remained passionately supportive of the athletes.

The festive spirit was enhanced by family gatherings and music along the trails, making for a memorable experience for all those who attended the Ski World Championships in Granåsen.
