Calle Halfvarsson has decided to pursue a different path away from the national team as he prepares for the 2026 Olympics. After 14 successful years representing Sweden, he feels that training individually may be the best route for achieving his Olympic ambitions.
In an interview, Halfvarsson reflected on the challenges and implications of this decision but emphasized that it aligns with his goal of continuing to compete at a high level. He looks forward to training independently but acknowledges that this choice brings both logistical and financial challenges. Despite this, he remains optimistic about the future.
Halfvarsson aims to maintain competitiveness for at least two more seasons leading up to the World Championships in Falun in 2027, with clear plans in place for the upcoming Olympics.
