Astrid Oeyre Slind delivered another impressive performance on Wednesday, winning the classical pursuit (15 km) at Toblach, Italy, marking the start of this season's Tour de Ski. Once again, she triumphed over her compatriot Therese Johaug, who finished just behind her.

The two Norwegians started the race with a lead of around twenty seconds over the rest of the field and maintained a tight battle throughout. Ultimately, Slind crossed the finish line first, winning by a mere two tenths of a second. Kerttu Niskanen from Finland completed the podium, finishing 57.4 seconds behind.

American Jessica Diggins, who is currently leading the World Cup standings, finished sixth, two minutes and 8.5 seconds behind. The top French athlete was Léonie Perry, who placed 36th, over five and a half minutes behind the leaders.
