Astrid and Silje Öyre Slind completed the long-distance race at Toppidrettsveka in Norway in a breathtaking fashion, crossing the finish line side by side. Despite both sisters experiencing falls during the grueling 56-kilometer race, they dominated the competition for most of the event. Instead of engaging in a thrilling sprint at the end, the sisters chose to embrace one another as they crossed the finish line simultaneously, reminiscent of the legendary finish by the Blomquist brothers during the 1988 Vasaloppet.

Reflecting on this extraordinary experience, Astrid Öyre Slind shared with NRK that finishing a race in such a manner with her sister was both a rare and memorable moment. On the podium, Johanna Hagström from Sweden delivered a commendable performance, finishing in fifth place—two minutes and 42 seconds behind the Slind sisters.

On the men's side, French skier Thomas Joly emerged victorious, though he faced strong competition from the likes of Max Novak, who secured the second-place finish.
