Antti Tuisku Shows Remarkable Improvement in Cross-Country Skiing

Antti Tuisku participated in his second competitive skiing event on Sunday at the Ounasvaara Early Snow Race in Rovaniemi, aiming for the Finnish championships in early 2025. In the over-35 men's category, he finished third in the 9 kilometer race, demonstrating considerable improvement from previous competitions.
Markus Isola won the race with a time of 24:29, with Janne Kotaniemi finishing second at 24:42. Tuisku crossed the finish line at 25:17, signaling a strong performance as he continues to enhance his skills in the sport.
Tuisku expressed excitement on Instagram, commending his ability to maintain a competitive edge and likening the sport to a significant personal challenge. His original goal was to compete in the Taivalkoski event in April 2025, but he now plans to participate in the Imatra championships in January, also in the classic technique.
The day's women’s race was won by Eveliina Toivanen, while Tuisku remains determined to match the speed of Finland's top female ski competitors. He noted that even a few months ago, he wouldn't have imagined setting such lofty aspirations for himself, highlighting his progress and enthusiasm for the sport.
