11 kilometers, a highest point of 1970 meters and a total elevation gain of 347 meters. The Ski Classics competition in La Venosta provided tough conditions.
Alvar Myhlback set out early and crossed the finish line as the leader.
After the finish, he spoke about the tough race that presented several challenges.
– There’s no enjoyment today. It’s high altitude and it’s heavy, and the constant incline... it was so damn hard, says the 18-year-old.
In the end, however, it became a sixth place for the 18-year-old.
– It was stable but not much more. I’m tired of just being stable. I want to win and be on the podium. I want more, says Myhlback.
There were several Swedish successes in Sunday’s Ski Classics. On the ladies’ side, Stina Nilsson finished second and Jenny Larsson third. On the men’s side, Oskar Kardin won – Max Novak came in second.
