Originally published in Sveriges Radio on December 15, 2024
Radiosporten's ski expert Torgny Mogren expressed sadness over the underrepresentation of Swedish female skiers at the recent World Cup event in Davos. The women's 20 km race concluded the weekend competitions with only two Swedish skiers at the starting line, leading to concerns about the future of women's skiing in Sweden. Mogren stated, "It's quite poor that we don't have more than two girls to compete with in a world cup event." This situation has open doors for Norwegian skiers to dominate the competition.
