Lahti to Host the 2029 Nordic World Ski Championships

The 2029 Nordic World Ski Championships will take place in Lahti, Finland, as confirmed by the Finnish Ski Association. This exciting announcement was made following a decision by the International Ski Federation (FIS) during their meeting on Thursday.
Earlier in June, the Ski Association faced financial challenges and requested an extension for the decision on the World Championships. Fortunately, a cost-sharing agreement was established among the Ski Association, the city of Lahti, and the Lahti Ski Club, which was essential for finalizing the hosting arrangements for the event.
