The Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide are drawing to a close. Norway has so far secured three medals, with Johannes Thingnes Bø having claimed gold in both the sprint and pursuit events earlier in the championships.

Last Thursday, Bø, together with Ragnhild Femsteinevik, won a silver medal for Norway in the mixed relay. On Friday there will be a break in competition before the relays take place on Saturday. The relays for Norway have been announced, although the exact legs for each athlete have not yet been determined.

For the women’s relay, the team consists of Maren Kirkeeide, Ragnhild Femsteinevik, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, and Karoline Knotten. The men’s relay team includes Johannes Thingnes Bø, Tarjei Bø, Endre Strømsheim, and Sturla Holm Lægreid.

Notably, Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen will not be running despite his long history with the team. The Norwegian, who has participated in the last seven championship relays and helped the team win silver in Nove Mesto last year, is serving as a reserve for this year's championships. In total, he has earned six Olympic and World Championship medals in relays for Norway.

The championships in Lenzerheide will conclude with a mass start on Sunday.
