Voigt and Strelow Gear Up for Biathlon Showdown in Schalke

Vanessa Voigt and Justus Strelow are set to compete in the highly anticipated Biathlon World Team Challenge, aiming to bring home Germany's first victory at the Gelsenkirchen arena in eight years.

The German Ski Association (DSV) has selected these two standout athletes from the past World Cup season for the event, which is scheduled for December 28 at the Gelsenkirchen football stadium. The last German team to clinch a win at this event was comprised of Vanessa Hinz and Simon Schempp.

Strelow shared his enthusiasm: "With so many fans packed into one venue and such a talented lineup, anything can happen. I truly hope we can perform well together. It was an honor to be invited, and I’m thrilled to be part of this prestigious event."

Since its inception in 2002, this gathering has grown to become the most well-attended biathlon event in the world, despite not being part of the official World Cup series.
