Thingnes Bø Sets His Sights on Bjørndalen's Crown

Johannes Thingnes Bø has boldly declared his intention to eclipse Ole Einar Bjørndalen's impressive record of 94 individual World Cup victories in biathlon. Currently, Bø boasts 73 victories and views this achievement as his primary focus over the next two years.
In a candid interview with NRK, Bø acknowledged that surpassing Bjørndalen's record is indeed his "big goal." This ambition, while previously implied, took many by surprise—including his national team coach, Egil Kristiansen, who appreciated Bø's frankness in addressing it.
Last season, Thingnes Bø equaled Bjørndalen’s record for the most world championship gold medals, with both athletes holding 20 titles to their name. Kristiansen is optimistic about Bø’s potential to reach this lofty objective, believing that he has the talent and determination needed to carve his name into biathlon history.
