Sweden Wins Mixed Relay After Thrilling Finish: "It's About Time"
Sweden triumphed in the mixed relay at Oberhof after a dramatic competition, largely due to the efforts of sisters Hanna and Elvira Öberg. "It felt about time," Hanna Öberg said during SVT's coverage.
The Swedish team faced significant challenges during the competition, especially from Norway, but Hanna Öberg's full shooting performance and speed allowed her to cut a 18-second gap by the final changeover.
Elvira then took over and completed the race with excellent shooting accuracy and pace, securing Sweden's victory.
"I’m really pleased with my leg. It felt like it was time. Elvira impressed during the final leg," said Hanna.
This was Sweden's first mixed relay win in 15 years, with France finishing in second place and Norway in third.
