Sebastian Samuelsson secured a Swedish victory in the mixed relay at Pokljuka. He was able to enjoy a decisive sprint on the last lap, finishing with a Swedish flag in hand and bowing to the audience.
"You tried to psych me out before the start," Samuelsson jokingly told SVT Sports reporter Johan Kücükaslan after the race.
In the first prone shooting, Samuelsson hit all his targets while Quentin Fillon Maillet had to take three extra shots and lost 35 seconds to Sweden. Norway was in second place, trailing 21 seconds behind Sweden, which laid the groundwork for the victory.

Samuelsson had some leeway to take an extra shot in the final standing shooting.
Third leg Martin Ponsiluoma had handed over to Samuelsson in second place, closely following France's anchor man Fillon Maillet. Behind, Norway’s reserve Isak Leknes Frey chased 19 seconds back.
The podium felt already secure at that point as the fourth team was over a minute behind.
Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, who was second after the first leg in her first mixed relay, and Hanna Öberg (first) prepared the initial women's legs.
"It was exciting, but I trusted Sebbe. I’m satisfied with my leg, and it's nice to be part of this team," Heijdenberg stated.
