After a penalty loop added pressure to the team, it looked bleak for Sweden. Yet, many competitors struggled as well. Samuelsson began the last leg in seventh place and soon outperformed others in contention for third place. His strong shooting and competitive spirit allowed him to surge ahead, finally passing Slovenia's Lovro Planko in the final stretch.

"Despite the situation when I started, I saw the possibility to catch up. I felt strong for the first two laps, but I was quite tired during the final hill on the last lap," said Samuelsson. He expressed pride in securing a podium finish, highlighting that there is still room for improvement in their performance overall.

The gold went to France, followed by Norway. Sweden concluded the race two minutes after France.
This exciting relay illustrates the unpredictable nature of biathlon, where conditions can shift rapidly and require athletes to adapt quickly to secure points for their team.
