In a thrilling display of skill and tenacity, Martin Ponsiluoma dominated the distance race at the Swedish Championship in rollerski biathlon, showcasing both strong skiing and nearly flawless shooting. With only one miss at the shooting range, he finished a staggering two minutes clear of the second-placed competitor, Jesper Nelin.

Following a winter season that required groin surgery, Ponsiluoma's impressive recovery has clearly paid off. Throughout the championship race, he exhibited his strength on the course and an exceptional performance at the shooting range. Although he started with a miss during his first shooting stage, he redeemed himself by hitting every target in the subsequent rounds. Commentator Mona Brorsson commended his shooting prowess during the final stage, highlighting his remarkable comeback.

Jesper Nelin claimed the silver medal, coming in 2 minutes and 4 seconds behind Ponsiluoma. Tobias Arwidson secured bronze, while Sebastian Samuelsson, just off the podium in fourth place, faced difficulties with six missed shots during the event.
