PZN Will Punish Dawid Kubacki and Aleksander Zniszczoł: "Rude"

In the world of ski jumping, the Polish Ski Association is taking action against athletes Dawid Kubacki and Aleksander Zniszczoł after their public comments criticizing the former coach, Thomas Thurnbichler, following his dismissal. The president of PZN, Adam Małysz, indicated that such behavior would not be tolerated, emphasizing the need for athletes to maintain a level of respect and professionalism in their discourse. This sentiment was echoed by Wojciech Gumny, the vice president of PZN, who stated that their remarks showcased a lack of personal culture.
After the dismissal of Thurnbichler, Kubacki and Zniszczoł were quick to voice their opinions publicly, leading to outrage from the PZN officials. Gumny noted that the athletes should have raised their concerns within the team's management rather than airing grievances in the media.
Gumny confirmed that consequences are likely, as the athletes' actions were viewed as not only disrespectful but also damaging to the team’s solidarity. He reiterated that conversations should occur internally, fostering a respectful environment where issues can be resolved without public scrutiny. Consequently, the final decision regarding the penalties will come from the PZN board after discussions take place. The ski jumping season may have ended, but the fallout from these events continues to resonate, with many watching closely for the next steps by the Polish Ski Association.
