Biathlon World Cup: Norway Triumphs - Again No Top-Ten Finish for DSV Men

Norway achieved a triple victory in the men's biathlon pursuit race on January 11, 2025, continuing their strong performance from the sprint where France had triumphed. Sturla Holm Laegreid won, his first podium of the season.

Following him were his Norwegian teammates Tarjei Bö in second place and Johannes Thingnes Bö in third. Philipp Nawrath was the best-performing German athlete, coming in 16th, followed closely by Justus Strelow in 17th.

"Four mistakes are not quite what I had hoped for. However, it’s still a solid result, moving up eleven places," Nawrath reflected after his race, where he posted the second-fastest ski time of the day.

As one of the few competitors to perform well, Strelow noted, "I expected a better result given my one mistake, but I fell behind in the later rounds. It’s a mental game out there."

The strong performance from Norway reaffirms their status in international biathlon, leaving Germany looking to improve as the season progresses.
