Austria's ski hunters experienced another setback in the 7.5 km sprint competition held in Annecy/Le Grand-Bornand, with not a single World Cup point earned. The only Austrian athlete advancing to the upcoming 10 km pursuit on Saturday was Anna Andexer, who placed 50th. Justine Braisaz-Bouchet claimed victory in a time of 21:19.2 minutes with one missed shot, followed closely by Germany's Franziska Preuß, who finished just 1.4 seconds behind. Meanwhile, seasoned competitors Lisa Hauser and Anna Gandler suffered significant challenges, finishing well outside the top 70, with Hauser accumulating five missed shots and Gandler three. The only Austrian male participant on Saturday will be Simon Eder.
