Biathlon: Martin Ponsiluoma criticizes himself after a disappointing weekend in Idre: "It's not good enough"
Martin Ponsiluoma expressed his disappointment after his performance in Idre, where he finished eighth and fourth, respectively, during the weekend's biathlon events, with four missed shots in both competitions.
"I am really not happy," Ponsiluoma stated during an interview. While his skiing performance was commendable, he struggled significantly on the shooting range, which ultimately affected his results.
His discontent was particularly evident after the sprint event where he recorded four misses during the shooting, commenting, "I am truly dissatisfied with the misses today, even though my body felt good and the skiing was fine." Ponsiluoma concluded the weekend almost two minutes behind the winner, Sebastian Samuelsson.
Ponsiluoma's ability to recover from this initial disappointment will be crucial as he continues his biathlon season, facing more competitive events ahead.
