Maren Hjelmeset Kirkeeide held her composure after two missed shots and delivered another second-place finish in the women's biathlon pursuit in Oberhof.

Having started the race in second place after achieving her career-best result with her first podium finish in Thursday’s sprint, Kirkeeide encountered difficulties with two missed shots in her second shooting round. However, she shot flawlessly afterward, significantly climbing the results list.

In the final shoot, she remarked, "I thought, 'Now I'm shooting for the podium, so I need to make it count.'" This dramatic final shooting round saw multiple competitors entering simultaneously.

While she couldn’t surpass French competitor Lou Jeanmonnot, Kirkeeide defended her second position leading to the finish line, celebrating another podium appearance.
"It was really, really cool. Great atmosphere both in the stadium and on the track," she commented about her experience in Oberhof.

Elvira Öberg from Sweden came in close behind after an impressive run, climbing from 37th to 3rd place.

Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold faced struggles with three penalty laps, finishing in 15th place—matching her position from the sprint. After returning to the World Cup this week following cardiac surgery, she expressed mixed feelings: "There was indeed quite a lot I'm satisfied with. I try to take the positives. But I'm also a bit irritated with myself. It feels like I had a golden opportunity on a silver platter at the final standing, and then I just couldn't grasp it."

Ida Lien (3 penalties) finished in 21st, Karoline Knotten (3) placed 22nd, and Gro Randby (5) ended in 25th.
