Elvira Öberg from Sweden won the women's mass start at the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti. Franziska Preuß missed an opportunity to take the lead in the final shooting round but still achieved an excellent result, finishing third overall, closely followed by her teammates Vanessa Voigt and Julia Tannheimer.
