Denise Herrmann-Wick, a retired biathlete who hung up her skis in March 2023, is ready to embark on a new adventure as a television expert. With an impressive career marked by three Olympic medals, nine World Championship medals, and 14 World Cup victories, she is now prepared to bring her expertise to the screen.

Her on-screen debut is scheduled for this Sunday at 16:15 CET, where she will appear as a ZDF expert during the City Biathlon in Dresden. "I’m excited to cover the competitions as a ZDF expert in the upcoming biathlon season," she expressed in a recent statement.

The Dresden event will see several other prominent athletes competing, including Franziska Preuß and Janina Hettich-Walz for the women, alongside Justus Strelow, Philipp Nawrath, and the five-time overall World Cup champion Johannes Thingnes Boe for the men. The World Cup season is set to kick off at the end of November.

Herrmann-Wick's retirement came just after her impressive performance at the World Championships in Oberhof, where she earned a gold medal and two silver medals last year. Her stellar achievements were recognized when she was named Sportswoman of the Year 2023 in Baden-Baden.
