Elvira Öberg's Success – Wins Mass Start

Elvira Öberg took a stunning victory in the mass start event at Ruhpolding, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination. With four perfect shots in a row, Öberg finished the race as the undisputed first-place competitor, marking her tenth World Cup win of her career.

Öberg’s win came as a redemption following the recent relay where she had to complete a penalty loop, impacting Sweden's standing in the competition. "It's fantastic! I was able to demonstrate that I can turn a challenging day into something very positive. Today's race was perfect for me," emphasized Öberg.

In the final shooting stage, Öberg stood shoulder to shoulder with top competitors Dorothea Wierer and Lou Jeanmonnot, displaying unwavering confidence amidst their challenge. Ultimately, she finished the race 25 seconds ahead of her closest rival, Franziska Preuss, with Jeanne Richard claiming third place.

Other notable Swedish placements included Hanna Öberg at 6th, Anna Magnusson in 18th, Johanna Skottheim in 20th, and Ella Halvarsson at 22nd overall.
