Biathlete Elvira Öberg Returns After Illness: "Missed Important Training"

Elvira Öberg hasn’t competed since the Biathlon World Championships, but now she is set to make her return after recovering from a prolonged illness.

— Elvira has had a mild but lingering cold after the World Championships and has missed crucial training. Therefore, she will stay home for a few days to train before heading to Pokljuka to compete in the mass start this Sunday. The other female athletes will race the distance already on Thursday, says head coach Johannes Lukas.

Over the weekend, Sebastian Samuelsson and Hanna Öberg each secured a podium finish in their respective events.
