Franziska Preuß has once again made it to the podium in Antholz. However, the victory in the pursuit also went to her fierce competitor. Preuß finished the race on January 25, 2025, in third place after a shooting error, maintaining her position from the sprint.

Lou Jeanmonnot from France, despite one mistake, took the win with a time of 29:44.00 minutes, marking her sixth World Cup victory of the winter.

Preuß, held back only by a 53.6-second gap at the finish, secured her place atop the overall world cup standings with a 92-point lead. This was Preuß's tenth podium of the season. She expressed satisfaction with her performance but acknowledged potential improvements, especially in the sprint's final climb against her competitors.

The results highlighted the dominance of the French women, as they claimed both the fourth and fifth positions in the race. Preuß, looking ahead to the upcoming World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, decided to skip the relay to focus on her peak performance.
