In a commanding performance at the European Biathlon Championships, Norway’s men's relay team proved to be unbeatable. The Norwegian squad – consisting of Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen, Sverre Dahlen Aspenes, Sivert Guttorm Bakken, and Isak Frey – delivered a flawless performance, aided by extra shots during the race. Their efforts culminated in a gold medal victory with a margin of more than two minutes over Germany, which secured the silver, while France took the bronze.

Isak Frey added a light-hearted moment to the event by taking a selfie with a team leader during the final lap, a moment that even elicited a comment from SVT’s commentator Niklas Nord, who noted that the athletes were so confident they had time for a selfie. Meanwhile, the Swedish team, made up of Emil Nykvist, Malte Stefansson, Oskar Ohlsson, and Anton Ivarsson, had a tougher day, accumulating 21 extra shots and being forced into a penalty round, which resulted in a fifth-place finish.

The result not only confirmed Norway’s status as favorites heading into the relay but also showcased their consistency and precision in biathlon at the international level.
