In her return to the World Cup in Nove Mesto, Ella Halvarsson experienced a setback due to illness, ultimately finishing 76th in the sprint event. She expressed her frustrations, stating, 'I want to push myself but my body isn't cooperating.' After taking a break following her silver medal win at the World Championships, she found herself struggling during her performance, with her heart rate not dropping below 190.
Additionally, fellow athlete Hanna Öberg had a solid start but faltered with two misses during her standing shooting, causing her to miss a podium finish despite leading initially. Elvira Öberg also withdrew from competition this weekend after dealing with an illness prior to the World Championships.
