Biathlon in Antholz: German Relay Team Falls Far Behind

The German relay team faced significant challenges during their race in Antholz, finishing in seventh place with a notable deficit of over three minutes to the leading French team.

After a poor collective performance in the sprint, the expectations were high for the relay race, yet the team could not capitalize on their previous success. Justus Strelow, the starting runner, faced difficulties, handing off in seventh place.

Despite Philipp Horn's efforts to bring the team back into contention, his three reloads on the shooting range hindered progress. Johannes Kühn and David Zobel also struggled with their performances, ultimately leading to the team's disappointing result.

French teams took the top spots, claiming yet another victory while the Germans can only reflect on what could have been, with calls for improved performances in future races.
