Biathlon in Antholz - Felix Leitner Shows Progress Ahead of World Championships
Felix Leitner is finding his momentum ahead of the World Championships. The 28-year-old from Tyrol finished 16th in the 12.5 km race at Antholz, making strides with just one shooting error. This performance marks his best result in this season's World Cup.

In a notable performance, Leitner improved significantly from his previous sprint result where he ranked 42nd. He mentioned, "Today the race went exactly how I wish it would go. I was feeling great from the start and could demonstrate my shooting proficiency on the shooting range."

Simon Eder also participated, finishing 24th with two shooting misses. The Norwegian Sturla Holm Laegreid clinched victory, followed by his fellow countryman Tarjei Bö. The Austrian women's relay team struggled without Lisa Hauser, placing 14th out of 20 nations and trailing nearly five minutes behind the winning Swedish team, despite both Steiner and Juppe needing to make a trip to the penalty loop.

Heading into the World Championships mid-February in Lenzerheide, Leitner's latest performance is a hopeful indicator of potential success.
