Back Problems Prevent Italian Biathlete from Competing

Lisa Vittozzi won the overall World Cup last season, despite a major setback in Canmore, Canada. Unfortunately, she will be absent from the season premiere in Kontiolahti, Finland, set for next weekend, due to back problems. According to the International Biathlon Union, she has been forced to scale back her training in recent weeks.

Vittozzi aims to make her season debut at the second competition in Obertilliach, Austria, on December 13-15.
